Managing Director

Olivier is investing passion in how communication design can break the mould and best contribute to strategic issues. His extensive experience spans a range of sectors such as energy, industrial components, healthcare, economics, as well as culture & heritage.

Olivier’s background in Switzerland, The Netherlands and France lends an air of crossroad design experience to the office in Brussels. After finishing his communication design studies in Basel he decided to cut his teeth in Amsterdam’s booming early nineties before heading south to Brussels to lead the creative activities of flagship Total Design’s Belgian subsidiary. Soon after he found himself focused on design management aspects and started up Generis.

Olivier brings with him more than twenty years of experience developing corporate and product branding systems, as well as sales & PR communication programmes. Over the years Olivier has managed projects and run several teams of designers for clients such as Thalys, Merck Generics, Alcatel Electronics, Alstom, Flammarion, Indigo, Eurelectric, Elia, Cefic, a number of museums as well as for many regional, national and European institutions.

Olivier is a big fan of modern art and Japanese culture. Bela Bartock and Julien Gracq are among his favorite masters. He is fascinated by how light and shadow can shape unpredictable tones, and by the very secret moment of kai, the moment before the arrow slips away from the hand of the archer.

Sandrine Falmagne

Senior Graphic Designer

Sandrine has a significant background experience in upscale projects such as annual reports, corporate publications, and branding systems.

A Graduate in Graphic Design in Montréal after a degree in Interior Design in Brussels, Sandrine has deployed her talent among prominent communication agencies in Brussels over fifteen years, designing for clients such as Amcham, CEN, CEFIC, Clearstream, la Croix-Rouge, DG Enlargement, EFQM, Eureka, Eurofer, Eurometaux, European University Association, IISI, Master Card, St Jude Medical and TetraPack.

Much of Sandrine’s experience is in corporate and product branding. Her whole design approach shows sobriety, delicacy and concern, with consistency and absolute control.

Besides her passion for her work, she loves the many cultural experiences Brussels offers. She is big fan of design and painting. When she is not on the road with her friends and family, she travels around checking on art shows and museum experiences.

Mathieu Slaedts

Web designer

Mathieu studied graphic design in Namur and very soon he grew interested in web design and interface activity, which he went on to study. He is passionate about recent technologies and delivers fresh perspectives on every aspect of the art, from design to content management interfaces.

Just back from a one year travel around Asia, Mathieu is now looking forward to making websites the best. As a solid expert he will convince you that a good product is built from the inside out, starting with the way we want the content to feel and be used, turning back to the core priorities of communication and the design DNA of the brand.

Mathieu’s natural relationship with Generis’ design philosophy was felt the moment he joined us, early in 2012. Open-minded and passionate, there is little doubt he has the client’s best interests at heart with upscale design ambitions.

As a seasoned runner Mathieu takes to the streets of Brussels alongside 30,000 other participants to face the annual Brussels 20km run. There is few chance to compete with him!
